Arizona’s public schools exist to serve all students who walk through their doors. No matter who you are or who you love, you are welcome in our schools.

But for decades, codified bigotry has denied too many children information about their health and their identities.

That’s why Superintendent Hoffman has been a leader in the fight to ensure our students have access to medically accurate, age-appropriate information they need to make healthy, informed choices.

Thanks to the leadership of Supt. Hoffman and other advocates, the Arizona legislature repealed anti-LGBTQ legislation, commonly and offensively referred to as “no promo homo”.  This repeal--passed with bipartisan support--means students will no longer be denied access to science-based information and teachers will no longer have to fear being fired or lose their teaching certification for providing medically accurate information to their students.

Supt. Hoffman will always be a champion for ensuring our schools are a safe and welcoming environment for all students, teachers, staff, and families.
